“Masterful winemaking and extended aging have produced this unforgettable wine: elevate your meal, or enjoy it on its own”

“With its extraordinary balance of sweet and tart flavors and aromas, this Tokaji Aszú is radiant and will remain so for years to come. Golden honey, fresh and cooked pears and figs, along with a fruity hint of pomegranate molasses, create a world of nuanced flavors leading up to an epic, long, and dazzling finish.” (Wine Enthusiast 2025)

Manuals

Winemaking

Selection of specific vineyard plots, maceration of the berries for 2 days to allow them to swell, gentle pressing to obtain a high-density must, fermentation in new Hungarian oak barrels (100%) for 1 month

Production method

A meticulous process possible only in exceptional vintages and under conditions conducive to Botrytis infection of the grapes (the same method has been used for hundreds of years). Aszú refers to the dried grapes, and "puttonyos" means "basket"; the number preceding it—here "6"—indicates the number of 25-kg baskets of botrytised grapes added to a 136-liter "Gönc" barrel of must (unfermented grape juice)—so the higher the number, the higher the sugar content in your Tokaji!

Livestock farming

Aged for 2 to 3 years in 136- and 200-liter barrels, then bottle-aged for an additional 5 years

Alcohol content

10,5%

Residual sugars

201 g/L

Eye

A beautiful amber-gold color, clear and bright

Nose

Delicious, rich aromas of yellow fruits—peach and pear—pineapple and grapefruit, star fruit, elderflower, and acacia honey: what complexity!

Palate

A smooth, flavorful attack, full-bodied on the palate, with deliciously complex aromas; notes of nougat stand out alongside the spicy notes on the nose, balanced acidity, and a very long finish with subtle hints of spice and botrytis
