"Enjoy this Italian white wine, grown on ancient volcanic soil that gives it amazing aromas!"
“This is still one of my favorite Pieropan wines. [...] The 2023 organic Soave Classico Calvarino [...] is a true marvel, with a dense texture and a particularly silky mouthfeel that gently envelops the palate. The bouquet is beautifully complex, with notes of honey, apricot, and poached apple. I love the intensity and consistent quality of this medium-bodied white. Salty mineral nuances enhance an elegant palate. [...] 2025–2032” (Robert Parker Wine Advocate 2025)

About the wine:
This is still one of my favorite Pieropan wines. The grapes come from an 8.5-hectare vineyard planted in 1971 on volcanic soils, and the wine is aged in concrete tanks for an extended period of 15 months. The 2023 organic Soave Classico Calvarino (70% Garganega and 30% Trebbiano di Soave) is a true marvel, with a dense texture and a particularly silky mouthfeel that gently envelops the palate. The bouquet is beautifully complex, with notes of honey, apricot, and poached apple. I love the intensity and consistent quality of this medium-bodied white. Salty mineral nuances enhance its elegant palate. Production is 60,000 bottles. 2025–2032

No aromatic finesse; the finish is marked by acidity and bitterness
