"Gold Panning in the Jura"
“With a golden hue and amber highlights, this straw wine first greets the nose with a hint of volatile acidity, but this is quickly followed by fruity notes of dried apricot and candied fruit. Full-bodied and warm on the palate, it has a distinctive character, with a robust aromatic profile that remains firmly in the fruity realm. Craving something indulgent in the middle of winter? Try it with a square of dark chocolate.” (Le Guide Hachette 2025)

Bettane & Desseauve
Winery rated 1*Star (A high-quality, recommended production that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
He represents the tenth generation of the Badoz family in Poligny. After studying at the Beaune wine school, he returned to the estate in 2003 and inaugurated the winemaking facility in 2004. It took him some time to make the switch to organic farming, but he obtained certification in 2019. The estate’s vineyards are located in the Roussots and Grands Roussots lieux-dits. Half of the estate is planted with Savagnin, though that doesn’t mean the reds should be overlooked. He takes barrel aging a bit further on certain cuvées.
