(Notes from the 2011 vintage)

New vintage, 2011 was rated: RVF 15.5/20
The five grape varieties of Terrasses du Larzac are blended in this cuvée to express the terroir and fruit. A wine that reveals a very expressive and balanced nose, offering the freshness so expected and characteristic of the terroir on the palate. A Coteaux du Languedoc that will pair perfectly with a nice piece of red meat.

Rated estate (2021 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About the estate:

A family-owned wine estate since the 12th century, Château de Jonquières boasts a long line of 32 generations of winemakers, which is quite rare for the region! The wines from this estate, with their classic style, are always easy to drink and harmonious—a classicism that the new generation, now running the business, has no intention of challenging but rather refining. Its dynamism and clear vision seem to be paving the way for renewal. The whites, expressive and easy to drink, combine Chenin and Grenache Blanc. The reds age well, particularly La Baronnie, which improves with between two and eight years in the bottle. Lansade, less consistent and precise, nevertheless seduces with its deliciousness.
