This very attractive Terrasses du Larzac offers a beautiful combination of black fruits, sweet spices, toasted notes, and eucalyptus on the nose. Powerful, elegant, and refined on the palate thanks to careful aging, highlighting its beautiful depth and smooth tannins. A red that will pair wonderfully with slow-cooked dishes, but also with chocolate. Delicious young and promising over 10 years!

Wine rating (2021 guide) 93/100 (2017 vintage)

Rated estate (2021 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About the estate:

A family-owned wine estate since the 12th century, Château de Jonquières boasts a long line of 32 generations of winemakers, which is quite rare for the region! The wines from this estate, with their classic style, are always easy to drink and harmonious—a classicism that the new generation, now running the business, has no intention of challenging but rather refining. Its dynamism and clear vision seem to be paving the way for renewal. The whites, expressive and easy to drink, combine Chenin and Grenache Blanc. The reds age well, particularly La Baronnie, which improves with between two and eight years in the bottle. Lansade, less consistent and precise, nevertheless seduces with its deliciousness.
