(2011 Vintage Notes)

A new vintage, the 2011 was rated: RVF 15.5/20
The five grape varieties of Terrasses du Larzac come together in this cuvée to express the terroir and the fruit. A wine that reveals a very expressive and balanced nose, offering on the palate the freshness so characteristic of this terroir. A Coteaux du Languedoc that pairs perfectly with a fine cut of red meat.

Rated wine (2014 guide) 15.5/20 (2011 vintage) (Good wine)

Rated estate (2021 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About the estate:

A family-owned vineyard dating back to the 12th century, Château de Jonquières boasts a long lineage of 32 generations of winemakers—a rarity in this region! The estate’s wines, with their classic character, remain consistently smooth and harmonious—a classicism that the new generation, now at the helm of the estate, does not intend to challenge but rather to refine. Their dynamism and clear vision seem to be paving the way for renewal. The whites, expressive and easy to drink, blend Chenin and Grenache Blanc. The reds age well, particularly La Baronnie, which refines over two to eight years in the bottle. Lansade, less consistent and precise, nevertheless charms with its rich, indulgent character.
