"A rosé that will grace your summer with its elegance"

Let yourself be carried away by this elegant and delicate cuvée, with an aromatic profile centered on citrus fruits (pomelo, kumquat) and a subtle hint of agastache blossom. On the palate, this rosé is lively and crisp at first, then becomes enveloping, filling the entire palate to reveal its full character. The finish concludes with a light, fruity aftertaste.

Rated estate (2026 guide) 1*Star (Rising stars or high-quality winemakers producing wines of a good standard—you won’t be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)

About the wine:

This rosé is a real success, with its floral notes, subtle tannins, and a mouthwatering finish reminiscent of hay.

About the estate:

Sophie and Thibaud Bardi de Fourtou took over this historic estate in Faugères in 2017. The wines we tasted for this issue are the last to reflect the transition from Jean-Michel Alquier to the new owners. The couple’s goal? To preserve the estate’s signature style, whose vineyard is dominated by old Syrah vines from massal selections (among the first planted in Languedoc in the 1960s by Jean-Michel Alquier’s father, Gilbert) complemented by Mourvèdre and Grenache. We’ll be keeping a close eye on this new chapter.

Review by Mr. GILLES D. Published on November 13, 2023

Discover this latest release from Bardi d'Alquier. A light, exceptionally pure rosé that unfolds with pleasant vibrancy and freshness, featuring floral notes within a supple, crisp, and indulgent texture with well-defined acidity. A soft, mouth-watering finish with a hint of citrus. All in all, a quintessential summer rosé that isn’t exactly groundbreaking, but is nonetheless approachable and easy to pair—served at 8° as an aperitif with tapas, or with a wok-fried pad thai with shrimp. Rating = 3.8.
