James Suckling
"A very pretty and original Faugères, for the most demanding connoisseurs".
"Beautiful expression on the nose, fullness on the palate. The wine is intense but the juice is tender, with lively fruit combined with the scent of garrigue flowers. Lemony delicacy, citrus tension on the finish." (La RVF revue 690 - May 2025).

About the wine:
Beautiful expression of the nose, fullness on the palate. The wine is intense, but the juice is tender, with lively fruit and the scent of garrigue flowers. Delicate lemony notes, citrus tension on the finish.
About the domain :
Sophie and Thibaud Bardi de Fourtou took over this historic Faugères estate in 2017. The wines we tasted for this edition are the latest witnesses to the transition from Jean-Michel Alquier to the new owners. The couple's aim? To perpetuate the style of the house, whose vineyards are dominated by old syrahs from massal selections (among the first planted in Languedoc in the 1960s by Jean-Michel Alquier's father, Gilbert), complemented by mourvèdre and grenache. We're keeping a close eye on this new development.

About the wine:
A seductive, balanced and refined white. Aromas of lemon, pear, dried herbs and a touch of fennel on the nose. Medium-bodied with moderate acidity. Attractive fruit and a pleasant finish. Drink now.
