Dominated by Carignan (70%) from the oldest vines in the Vallée du Paradis, this cuvée showcases the full potential of this estate. The wine is concentrated, powerful, and distinctly southern in character (with notes of garrigue and spices), crafted with elegance and superb freshness that lend it length and a refined character. A cuvée with great aging potential!

Wine rated (2023 guide) 92/100 (2019 vintage)

Rated Estate (2023 Guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)

About the estate:

Gaëlle and Florian met in Burgundy and decided to settle in the Languedoc in the early 2010s. After several years of searching, the Franco-German couple settled in Fontjoncouse, where they cultivate plots of old vines. The wine is carefully aged in barrels. A promising new force in this wild and stony part of the Corbières. This is a winery with a bright future!

This wine lacks balance; it’s harsh on the palate, with a very pronounced raw quality and a distinct off-note… It’s a shame.
