La Pèira en Damaisèla - Las Flors de la Pèira 2ème 2018
94/100
Jeb Dunnuck
“Released as a Vin de France, the 2018 Las Flors is a wine with a greater proportion of Grenache compared to La Peira, which has a higher percentage of Syrah. This deep 2018, with a plum-ruby hue, offers a rock-star nose of kirsch and black raspberry, as well as herbs from , ground pepper, dried flowers, and sweet spices. Rich, full-bodied, beautifully textured, and equally transparent, it has a bold, concentrated style that is perfect for enjoying over the next 7 to 8 years.” (Jeb Dunnuck 2021) The 2018 vintage is likely one of the greatest blends in this cuvée’s history!

A fine wine from the Terrasses du Larzac region, though it does not bear that appellation. It has a lovely structure and spicy, woody notes, making it a great pairing for cheeses or game meats.

Too heavily influenced by the aging process: vanilla candy and vanilla tea, cloyingly sweet, sickening by the second glass...
