"A real gourmet treat to share with spicy Mediterranean cuisine!"

"This superb Cabernet Franc will win unanimous acclaim. Its strawberry aromas build to a crescendo as the tasting progresses. Slightly pearly on the attack, long, ample and fresh, it asserts itself with delicacy and balance, supported by fine acidity. Best with exotic cuisine, spicy shrimp or sweet-and-sour chicken, for example". (Le guide Hachette 2025).

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Domaine rated 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one has the right to expect from its appellation(s))

About the domain :

Victor and Vincent Lebreton are faithful interpreters of Coteaux-de-l'Aubance. The brothers took over the family estate in 1986 and now cultivate 60 hectares of vines on different plots and types of schist. The result is parcel-based cuvées with subtle tones, reflecting the resonance of blue schists (le-tertereaux), greys (clos-des-huttières) or purples (le-clos-prieur). A friendly address, with low prices. The range is at its best on the Aubance, as is only logical. The reds are simple and tasty, for immediate pleasure.

About the wine:

This superb Cabernet Franc will win unanimous acclaim. Its strawberry aromas build to a crescendo as the tasting progresses. Slightly pearly on the attack, long, full and fresh, it asserts itself with delicacy and balance, supported by fine acidity. Best served with exotic cuisine, spicy shrimp or sweet-and-sour chicken, for example.

About the domain :

This estate on the outskirts of Angers is a benchmark in the region, particularly in terms of "Angevin sweets", with superb coteaux-de-l'aubance on the menu. Vincent Lebreton, who has been at the helm since 1995, runs the estate created by his grandfather, Victor, and developed by his father, also Victor, and manages 75 hectares of slate schist terroir in a highly sustainable manner. The sixth generation now supports him.
