About the estate:
Gilles Bonnefoy built his estate from the ground up starting in 1997: he planted the vineyards between 2001 and 2016 and built the winery in 2004. Today, the estate spans 10.5 hectares and is farmed biodynamically, situated on the outskirts of two volcanoes: La Madone and Le Pigeonnier.

About the estate:
Les Vins de la Madone offer one of the most exciting experiences in the Côtes du Forez, a low-key appellation located between Saint-Étienne and Clermont-Ferrand, at the gateway to the Livradois-Forez Natural Park. Gilles Bonnefoy strives to capture the sparkling purity of the fruit, both in his Gamay reds and in his whites (Urfé IGP), which include a Roussanne and a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris. This vibrancy, drawn from granite and volcanic soils, is achieved through biodynamic vineyard management (certified in 2008), winemaking that partially uses whole clusters, and aging exclusively in tanks. The star is firmly set.
