The sunny, limestone-rich terroir from which it originates gives the Les Chasseignes cuvée notes of ripe fruit—notably white peach and juicy pear—as well as remarkable minerality. Rich and well-balanced, the palate offers a beautiful, refined attack and a lovely, lingering finish that makes your mouth water with its mineral character. Don’t wait to try it!

Rated estate (2026 guide) 1*Star (A high-quality, recommendable wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

Julien and Clément Raimbault cultivate 21 hectares on the hillsides of Maimbray and Sury-en-Vaux, in clay-limestone soils. Their highly consistent lineup features well-rounded wines in both red and white, with reds that combine power and elegance and whites that are pure and refined. All at very reasonable prices. A sure bet.

Rated estate (2026 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About the estate:

The Raimbault brothers, Julien and Clément, embody the new generation of Sancerre winemakers. Over the past few vintages, we’ve been delighted to see a more relaxed approach to the wines’ expression. They’re now more laid-back and indulgent, while retaining the precision that has become their trademark. 2022, a sunny vintage, is a masterful balancing act! 2023, unsurprisingly, has produced wines that are more refined and elegant.
