“With a nuanced, brilliant straw-yellow color, this 2012 offers a nose that is already well-developed, with notes of flowers and white-fleshed fruits. The palate, in perfect harmony, is full-bodied, generous, and rich, balanced by a subtle freshness. A harmonious wine that will age well. ” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2015). It offers complexity, finesse, and a beautiful balance between botrytis and minerality!

Wine rated (2015 guide) 16/20 (Very good wine)

Rated 2*Stars (A solid, recommendable production, though a bit more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the wine:

Another great success, with precise structure and minerality worthy of the name.

About the estate:

This 45-hectare vineyard, 80% of which is planted with Chenin, produces a wide range of white wines. René handles winemaking, while his older brother Christophe tends the vineyards. They aren’t organic, to be sure, but the soil is worked “in their own way.” In the cellar, the same meticulous care prevails, with a variety of tanks of all kinds (stainless steel, cement, cylindrical, underground, 30-hl wooden tanks by Stockinger…), suited to crafting nuanced and complex wines. The sweet wines are the estate’s greatest strength, as is the Savennières series (13 hectares), which is impeccably balanced.
