"With its bright, nuanced straw yellow color, this 2012 vintage offers a nose that is already well open with notes of flowers and white-fleshed fruits. The palate is equally full-bodied, generous, and fleshy, balanced by a delicate freshness. A harmonious wine that will age well. " (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2015). With complexity, finesse and a beautiful balance between botrytis and minerality!

Wine rated (2015 guide) 16/20 (Very good wine)

Rated estate (2024 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About wine:

Another great success, with precise tension and minerality worthy of the name.

About the estate:

This 45-hectare vineyard, 80% of which is planted with Chenin, produces all styles of white wine. René makes the wine, while his older brother Christophe works in the vineyards. Although not organic, the soil is worked "their way." The same care prevails in the cellar, with a variety of vats of all kinds (stainless steel, cement, cylindrical, underground, 30 hl wooden vats by Stockinger, etc.), suitable for crafting nuanced and complex wines. Sweet wines are the estate's great strength, as is the Savennières series (13 hectares), which is impeccably balanced. The small rosé and red cuvées are a notch below, and the whites tasted this year are too inconsistent to retain the third BD rating.
