“The jewel of the Arcane collection, made from century-old Grenache vines”
"Purple in color, with a youthful and sensational bouquet of crushed flowers, blueberries, blackberries, cured meats, and spices, it hits the palate with incredible richness, a thick and creamy mid-palate, and ripe yet firm tannins. It is a unique and exotic beauty that we hope all our readers will have the chance to taste! ” (Wine Advocate 2016 - Robert Parker)

Bland and lacking in finesse, yet very expensive. I’m not giving it a 1 because there aren’t any major flaws, but I was wondering…

Excellent, but not better (or more subtle) than the 2016 Papesse, and half the price. If I were to rate it on a scale of 1 to 5: 3.5.

I’m giving this rating based on value for money. I’m a fan of Xavier V.’s wines; I own many of them and have drunk plenty, especially the Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The 2010 Pape is disappointing. It’s certainly good, but not at that price! It’s powerful and has good length, but it doesn’t really excite me! In this price range, the 2010 Janasse Vielles Vignes, for example, will give you much more pleasure.

FABULOUS, AND JUST LIKE ALL THE 2010 RHONE WINES, IT SURELY STILL HAS POTENTIAL TO AGE
