"Truly a great wine!"

"The crowning jewel of this brilliant winemaker is the 2022 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Anonyme, a blend composed of 65% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah, and a handful of other grape varieties. It is an elegant and classic 2022 wine, offering aromas of sun-drenched red and black fruits, a medium- to full-bodied structure, abundant notes of Provençal garrigue and peppery spices, fine yet powerful tannins, and exceptional length on the palate.” (Jeb Dunnuck 2023)

Winemaking

At low temperatures (22–24°C) to preserve the freshness of this rich, sun-drenched, and highly expressive vintage—which reflects the climate of that year—great care was taken to maintain the elegance and finesse of the tannins by minimizing the extraction of seed tannins as much as possible

Livestock farming

18 months: 1/3 in concrete tanks, 1/3 in truncated cone tanks, and 1/3 in demi-muids; the barrels are not new to maintain a reducing environment

Rated wine (2024 guide) 92–94/100 (Excellent wine)

Estate rated "Recommended" (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)

About the wine:

The 2022 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Anonyme offers an elegant and intense bouquet of black cherries, blackberries, blackcurrants, spices, and garrigue. Medium- to full-bodied, full-flavored, and lively, it is enveloping and charming, with structured yet elegant tannins that lead to a long, lively, and airy finish. This blend, composed of 65% Grenache Noir, 15% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah, and the remainder in equal parts Muscardin, Picpoul Noir, Vaccarèse, Roussanne, and Counoise, was aged in large oak barrels (20%), concrete tanks (20%), stainless steel tanks (30%), and terracotta jars (30%). It has real aging potential.

Aromas of crushed red berries, black tea, and spices. The palate is dense and lively, with pronounced acidity and a fresh finish. A rather distinguished wine!

About the wine:

A well-structured, full-bodied, and lively Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Aromas of sweet berries, cherries, redcurrants, warm herbs, and a hint of black pepper. Plenty of fruit and orange peel, with a touch of tartness that brings freshness to a delicious, savory, and lively finish with excellent length. Enjoy now or celller.
