"An essential Laudun, which smells like sunny days!"
"The 2022 Côtes Du Rhône Villages Laudun Blanc [...] has a slightly mineral profile and aromas of white peach, pear, honeysuckle, and white flowers of great class. This medium-bodied, vibrant, fresh, and concentrated white wine is another impeccable wine from Ferraton." (Jeb Dunnuck 2023)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2021 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)
About the estate:
Ferraton belongs to Michel Chapoutier, but he wanted to keep an independent team at the helm, under the direction of Damien Brisset. The old premises in Tain have been renovated and modernized, and a new, very welcoming reception and dining area has just opened on the banks of the Rhône. Everything is ready for this entity to take off. The range showcases the expertise in Rhône Valley wines, with Chapoutier's approach of working with individual plots, which increases the number of vintages each year. Today, the estate remains a benchmark more for its red wines than its whites. The 2017 reds are well-balanced, combining freshness and depth.

Rated estate (2021 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About the estate:
Completely renovated from top to bottom: this expression perfectly sums up the rebirth of Ferraton and its new cellar, located at the historic address of the wine merchant, acquired by Maison M. Chapoutier in 2004, in a small street in the center of Tain-l'Hermitage. In Hermitage, the estate owns vines in the lower part of Les Dionnières, just below Les Murets. Some of the old vines are used for the Les Dionnières cuvée, while the rest go into the Les Miaux cuvée, blended with Méal. The estate owns two parcels on Le Méal, whose juices are also used either separately or blended. For Hermitage blanc, the estate heads east towards Les Beaumes, with whites made from Marsanne and Roussanne, often planted in crowds, which are used in the Le Reverdy cuvée. Always harvested at peak ripeness, the Syrah grapes are destemmed and aged in barrels and demi-muids: Les Dionnières with 20% new wood, and 40% for Le Méal. Aging lasts 16 to 18 months. The style of the wines, full-bodied and expressive, has so far favored the reds.
