"A superb Syrah to discover!

"Another superb cuvée from Stéphane Ogier, made from vines planted in the commune of Turpin on granite soils, La Rosine Syrah 2022 offers aromas of Timut pepper, violets, blackberry and black berry mixed with pretty floral notes. Moderately full-bodied and delicately juicy, it is round and perfectly balanced, with a soft mid-palate and a fresh fruity core that leads to a long, fresh and delicate finish." (Wine Advocate 2025)

About the domain :

Stéphane Ogier's ambition can be measured not only by the quality of his wines, but also by his new winery. A magnificent work tool for vinifying his Côte-Rôtie and Seyssuel terroirs on a parcel-by-parcel basis. Barrel vinification is mastered thanks to long maturation periods. Domaine rated (guide 2024) 2*Stars (These great estates, often endowed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).

About the domain :

Since 2014, Stéphane Ogier has been vinifying in an ultra-contemporary winery in Ampuis, giving free rein to his creative talent. Of the 18 hectares farmed by this estate, 3.5 hectares are located on beautiful Côte-Rôtie parcels. Stéphane joined his father Michel in 1997 after studying oenology in Beaune, from which he has retained a taste for elegance and finesse. The wines are made from partially destemmed grapes (50% whole harvest in the Cuvée Lancement). The precision of recent vintages, the rigorous selection of plot-based cuvées and the style now displayed by the wines place the domaine among the elite, and the third star is now in sight.

Wine rated (2025 guide) 91/100

About the wine:

Collines Rhodaniennes La Rosine 2022 is a powerful wine, with aromas of ripe red and black fruits, asphalt, grilled herbs and leather. From the granitic soils in the south of the appellation, this medium- to full-bodied wine has good ripeness and roundness, offering a fleshy, savory character balanced by a lovely fruity sweetness. Drink between 2025 and 2032.
