About the wine:

Made from grapes grown on the granite soils of Tupin, the 2023 Syrah La Rosine is alluring and expressive, offering aromas of black fruit, flowers, black cherries, and pepper. Medium- to full-bodied, juicy, and complex, it combines freshness with a delicate texture, culminating in a long, fragrant, and airy finish.

Wine rated (2027 guide) 90/100

Rated Estate (2024 Guide) 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often boasting fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to the consistency and excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)

About the wine:

The Rosine 2023 captivates with its rich, indulgent flavor as well as the sweetness of juicy fruit, which is sure to win you over.

About the estate:

Since 2014, Stéphane Ogier has been making wine in an ultra-contemporary winery in Ampuis, where he gives free rein to his creative talent. Of the 18 hectares cultivated by this estate, 3.5 hectares are located on exquisite plots in Côte-Rôtie. Stéphane joined his father Michel in 1997 after studying oenology in Beaune, where he developed a taste for elegance and finesse. The wines are made from partially destemmed grapes (50% whole-cluster fermentation in the Lancement cuvée). The precision of recent vintages, the rigorous selection of single-vineyard cuvées, and the style the wines now exhibit place the estate among the elite, with a third star now in sight.

About the wine:

The 2023 Rosine offers magnificent aromas of red and black cherries, peppery herbs, leather, and clay on the nose. It has a medium body, a pure and complex palate, a lovely core of sweet fruit, and exceptional length on the finish. Best enjoyed between 2026 and 2034.
