“A delicious Saint-Joseph for instant enjoyment”
“The 2022 Saint Joseph Le Passage brings an extra level of elegance and finesse, offering aromas of ripe red and black fruits, crushed stone, violets, and hints of bacon fat. Medium-bodied, pure, and concentrated on the palate, it displays an elegant mouthfeel and magnificent tannins. It will age beautifully through 2034. ” (Jeb Dunnuck 2025)

Rated estate (2023 guide) 4*Stars (Producers of the very highest quality, the pride of French viticulture)
About the estate:
Stéphane Ogier’s ambition is evident not only in the quality of his wines but also in his new winery—a magnificent facility designed to vinify his Côte-Rôtie and Seyssuel terroirs on a plot-by-plot basis. Barrel aging is masterfully managed through extended aging periods. A reliable source of excellent Syrahs from the northern Rhône, prized by top sommeliers and wine merchants worldwide.
Robert Parker - Wine Advocate
Wine rated (2025 guide) 92+/100 (Outstanding wine)
About the wine:
Aged for one year in barrels, the 2022 Saint-Joseph Le Passage unfolds in the glass with aromas of blackberries, violets, dark berries, and spices, intertwined with a delicate and charming reduction. Moderately full-bodied, supple, and elegant, it features a juicy, fruity core, velvety tannins, and an enveloping texture—typical of the Ogier style—culminating in a long, refined, and airy finish. Made entirely from destemmed grapes, it should age gracefully over the next 8 to 10 years.

Rated estate (2024 guide) 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often boasting fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)
About the estate:
Since 2014, Stéphane Ogier has been making wine in an ultra-modern winery in Ampuis, where he gives free rein to his creative talent. Of the 18 hectares cultivated by this estate, 3.5 hectares are located on beautiful plots in Côte-Rôtie. Stéphane joined his father Michel in 1997 after studying oenology in Beaune, where he developed a taste for elegance and finesse. The wines are made from partially destemmed grapes (50% whole-cluster in the Lancement cuvée). The precision of recent vintages, the rigorous selection of single-vineyard cuvées, and the style the wines now exhibit place the estate among the elite, with a third star now within reach.
