Concours Paris
"Made from Vermentino (80%, with Grenache as a complement), this is an original white wine from the outset, with its slightly golden color and complex aromatic palette: on the first nose, fresh floral scents; when aerated, a lemony fruitiness with candied tones. Full-bodied and refined on the palate, this wine unfolds with roundness and smoothness, balanced by persistent citrus aromas, with lemon and grapefruit at the forefront. It pairs well with shellfish and sea bass." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2019)

About the estate:
Véronique Boudau and her brother Pierre have been running the family estate since 1993. They decided to breathe new life into the property, which covers some 50 hectares of excellent terroir at the entrance to the Agly Valley. Their gamble paid off: the entire production is bottled and sold, mainly through a network of restaurants and wine merchants. A safe bet, which has committed to converting its vineyard to organic farming. Véronique's daughter has just joined the adventure.

Nose of white flowers evolving into honeysuckle, then citrus fruits and ripe fruit (light melon). Beautiful aromas on the palate, ripe fruit, lovely acidity for a southern wine, and a salty finish. PS: Vacuum sealed, oxidizes very little.
