Le Roc des Anges - IGP Côtes Catalanes Unic 2022
"The Enchanting One"
A single-vineyard cuvée made from Grenache Noir vines planted in 1991 on the northern slope of Força Real. Cultivated using biodynamic methods, it is delicate, with a subtle, charming nose and a palate full of tension that lends it a lovely freshness. It is the very embodiment of its terroir, composed of ancient, crumbly schist.

Rated estate (2024 guide): 4*Stars (Producers of the very highest quality, the pride of French viticulture)
About the estate:
Radiant. That’s surely the adjective that best describes Roc des Anges, both in terms of the style of its wines and the modern, aesthetically pleasing winery built by Marjorie and Stéphane Gallet. They built their estate from the ground up, and today it spans 45 hectares of vineyards in production. These wines are highly drinkable, with alcohol levels on the lower side for the region; careful viticulture and a well-timed harvest ensure the wines remain light and never heavy. Biodynamic farming accounts for part of this uniqueness in the Roussillon region, as does the very distinctive terroir of Montner—featuring very fine schist that behaves like sand. This estate consistently delivers some of the most delightful dry wines in the entire department.
