Le Roc des Anges - L'Oca 2014

Le Roc des Anges - L'Oca 2014

18,5/20

RVF

(Notes vintage 2013)

L'Oca is a dense, majestic white, complex on the palate, with pronounced mineral notes and a delicate touch. A gastronomic white that will be at its best with delicate fish, tartars and fish carpaccios... A fine southern white!

Domaine rated (guide 2024) 4*Stars (Top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)

About the domain :

Luminous. This is surely the adjective that best describes Le Roc des Anges, as much for the style of the wines as for Marjorie and Stéphane Gallet's modern, aesthetic winery. They created their estate from scratch, and today cover 45 hectares in production. Their wines are highly drinkable, low in alcohol for the region, and their careful viticulture and intelligent harvest date avoid any heaviness in the wines. Biodynamic viticulture explains some of this originality for Roussillon, as does the very special terroir of Montner, with its fine schist that behaves like sand. This estate regularly produces some of the finest dry wines in the whole department.
