"A nose of spices and red berries, followed by a round palate, supported by slightly austere tannins on the finish." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2017) Les Maurynates is a beautiful expression of Carignan, with complex aromas and a silky texture with a hint of licorice on the finish.

Rated estate (2019 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the estate:

Founded in 1910, the Maury cooperative winery is now the oldest in the department still in operation. After the wine revolts of 1907, it brought together more than 130 owners. Today, the winery has 870 hectares of land belonging to its members; it lives off Grenache grapes, which produce traditional natural sweet wines and, since 2011, dry Maury wines.
