“A nose of spices and red berries, followed by a round palate, supported by subtle, slightly firm tannins on the finish.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2017) Les Maurynates offers a beautiful expression of Carignan through complex aromas and a silky, licorice-like texture on the finish.

Rated estate (2019 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines regularly receive awards from the guide)

About the estate:

Founded in 1910, the Maury cooperative winery is now the oldest in the department still in operation. Following the winegrowers’ revolts of 1907, it brought together more than 130 winegrowers. Today, the winery manages 870 hectares of its members’ vineyards; it specializes in Grenache, which produces the traditional natural sweet wines and, since 2011, dry Maury wines.
