About the wine:

Grenache is the king of grape varieties in the valley and among the winemakers of Maury; all of their expertise is concentrated in this stunning cuvée, with a beautiful deep red color and a rich, elegant nose of black fruits, cocoa, and licorice. A fresh attack gives way to a full-bodied, lively, very elegant, and expressive palate (notes of Zan and jammy black fruits), featuring silky tannins and a long, mineral finish. A true delight.

About the estate:

Founded in 1910, the Maury cooperative winery is now the oldest in the department still in operation. Following the winegrowers’ revolts of 1907, it brought together more than 130 winegrowers. Today, the winery manages 870 hectares of land owned by its members; it specializes in Grenache, which produces the traditional naturally sweet wines and, since 2011, dry Maury wines.
