“Dominated by Grenache Noir and aged in tanks, this little gem is bursting with fresh fruit. While blackcurrant buds dominate the nose, the palate—rich, round, and fresh—evokes ripe, juicy black cherries, leading to a spicy finish.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2019)

Guide Hachette des vins
Wine rated (2019 guide) 2** stars (Outstanding wine)
Rated estate (2019 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines regularly receive awards from the guide)
About the wine:
This little gem, bursting with fresh fruit, is dominated by Grenache Noir and aged in tanks. While blackcurrant buds dominate the nose, the palate—rich, round, and fresh—evokes ripe, juicy black cherries, leading into a spicy finish.
About the estate:
Founded in 1910, the Maury cooperative winery is now the oldest in the department still in operation. Following the winegrowers’ revolts of 1907, it brought together more than 130 winegrowers. Today, the winery manages 870 hectares of its members’ vineyards; it specializes in Grenache, which produces the traditional natural sweet wines and, since 2011, dry Maury wines.
Robert Parker - Wine Advocate
Wine rated (2018 guide) 89/100 (Very good wine)
About the wine:
A full-bodied, juicy blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Carignan, the 2017 Tradition Schiste is best enjoyed young. It is full-bodied, creamy, and supple, with notes of very ripe cherries, stone fruits, and chocolate, as well as a high alcohol content and a corresponding warmth.

A truly excellent estate producing robust, aromatic wines—and this is one of their more modest offerings! Just imagine their higher-end wines... A must-visit winery

16+ - 17+/20. Well-balanced, with a fairly smooth attack and a smooth, easy-drinking profile; a very successful blend: the Carignan is noticeable without being overpowering. Excellent value for money. A fine wine.
