Vin des Allobroges

The Vin des Allobroges PGI appellation covers the departments of Savoie, Haute-Savoie and Ain. It complies with strict production standards concerning yields, set at a maximum of 80hl. The IGP Vin des Allobroges appellation takes its name from the Allobroges territory, which once stretched from the Alpine mountains to the banks of the Rhône.

IGP Vin des Allobroges are made from most of the region's grape varieties (Altesse, Gamay, Jacquère, Mondeuse, etc.). The IGP Vin des Allobroges appellation produces light, fruity red wines, fresh, mineral white wines, often with floral notes, and fine, fresh rosé wines, as well as quality sparkling wines made from over-ripe, raisined grapes, often with full, long-lasting aromas.
