Bettane & Desseauve
"A very fine sample, combining a rich texture with delicate flavors. Generous fruit enhanced by heady floral notes. We hope to find this depth and momentum again after bottling." (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2019 - RVF) A great Chignin-Bergeron!

About the estate:
This large 28-hectare estate was long run by André and Michel. Guillaume, Michel's son, arrived in 2009. The estate is located on the steep slopes of Torméry, south of Chignin. It was Guillaume's grandfather who replanted the vineyard in the 1950s. The estate avoids herbicides as much as possible but cannot work all its plots by hand. Guillaume is experimenting with organic farming on the two and a half hectares he took over to form the Côteau de Torméry estate. He is also experimenting with ageing in large oak barrels or sandstone vats. A wide and consistent range with promising innovations.

About the estate:
Michel Quénard took over the family estate, founded by his grandparents, in 1976. His son Guillaume joined him in 2009, after studying at the Beaune wine school and then at the Changins engineering school (Switzerland), and took over the reins of this estate, one of the most renowned in Savoie, which produces wines of consistently high quality, both red and white.
