"Supple, complex, and richly aromatic on the palate"

Made from very old Jacquère vines, this cuvée is characterized by its suppleness, complexity, and aromatic richness on the palate. With a lovely pale yellow color and brilliant clarity, it combines fruity flavors of apple and exotic fruits with the fragrance of white flowers, making it the perfect accompaniment to your aperitifs, shellfish, seafood, raclette, fondue, and more.

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Winery rated 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

This large 28-hectare estate was long run by André and Michel. Guillaume, Michel's son, arrived in 2009. The estate is located on the steep slopes of Torméry, south of Chignin. It was Guillaume's grandfather who replanted the vineyard in the 1950s. The estate avoids herbicides as much as possible but cannot work all its plots by hand. Guillaume is experimenting with organic farming on the two and a half hectares he took over to form the Côteau de Torméry estate. He is also experimenting with ageing in large oak barrels or sandstone vats. A wide and consistent range with promising innovations.

About the estate:

Michel Quénard took over the family estate, founded by his grandparents, in 1976. His son Guillaume joined him in 2009, after studying at the Beaune wine school and then at the Changins engineering school (Switzerland), and took over the reins of this estate, one of the most renowned in Savoie, which produces wines of consistently high quality, both red and white.

Note and opinion by Mr. FREDERIC B. Published on 10/24/2025

A very pleasant wine to drink with a sapid and smooth palate. The acidity is completely integrated, and I think it would pair better with a fish dish than a traditional raclette.
