About the estate:
Bergerac, in the far southeast of the appellation: from his organically farmed plots on the limestone plateau and the deep-clay slopes, Julien Auroux looks to the future with confidence. His wines have turned their backs on Bergerac’s past, which sought to imitate Bordeaux reds while neglecting the terroir. He, on the contrary, is committed to wines characterized by salinity and a clear, precise aromatic expression, made with native yeasts and with almost no added sulfur. He is reviving grape varieties of the past for a return to the future. The lineup draws on the acidity of the soils to create an approachable profile and takes a step up this year.

What a great find! Jam-like red and black berries, with a hint of spice. Perfect with grilled meats
