“A Sauvignon Gris–Sauvignon Blanc–Chenin blend for the exotic Sans Bois Ni Loi: the nose evokes ripe grapes, pineapple, mango, and Williams pear; on the palate, it weaves voluptuous arabesques—a lovely bottle with a limestone-like brilliance.” (Le Guide RVF 2027).

Wine rated (2027 guide) 93/100

Rated Estate (2022 Guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or high-quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)

About the wine:

A Sauvignon Gris-Sauvignon Blanc-Chenin blend for the exotic “Sans Bois Ni Loi”: the nose evokes ripe grapes, pineapple, mango, and Williams pear; on the palate, it unfolds in voluptuous arcs—a lovely bottle with a chalky brilliance.

About the estate:

Bergerac, in the far southeast of the appellation: from his organically farmed plots on the limestone plateau and the deep-clay hillsides, Julien Auroux looks to the future with confidence. His wines have turned their backs on Bergerac’s past, which sought to imitate Bordeaux reds while neglecting the soil. He, on the contrary, is committed to wines characterized by minerality, a clear and precise aromatic expression, made with native yeasts, and with almost no added sulfur. He is reviving grape varieties from the past for a return to the future. The lineup draws on the acidity of the soils to create an approachable profile and takes a step up this year.
