"100/100 James Suckling, this high-quality Chardonnay is part of the legend of Catena Zapata and Argentina's greatest whites: very limited quantities!"

"If there is one Chardonnay that could easily be spotted in a blind tasting, it is Catena Zapata's White Bones. The nose is marked by notes of lemon and lavender that are unlike any other. On the palate, it has a delicious chalky quality and an elegant, refined finish, with vibrant acidity and a slight spiciness due to partial organic aging. This vintage shows wonderful concentration and great balance. It is an exceptional wine. 2024-2036" (Jancis Robinson 2024)

About wine:

Grown on a plot of the Adrianna vineyard in Gualtallary, planted at an altitude of 1,450 meters, the Chardonnay Adrianna Vineyard White Bones 2022 offers a distinctive flavor. Produced in a cool, sunny vintage, the limestone soils of Gualtallary give this high-altitude Chardonnay a compact character. Yellow in color, it opens with aromas of hops, ivy, and pea shoots, accompanied by notes of mint, sage, ginger, and lime. Slightly concentrated, with vibrant energy and tension, it offers a blend of chalky texture, high acidity, and a compact but graceful palate. It lingers with persistent flavors and a subtly malic texture. This mountain white wine set a benchmark in 2009 and reaffirmed it in 2022. 2024-2034

About wine:

It is always aromatic, exotic, and idiosyncratic (unusual), with enchanting aromas of green fruit, green curry, citrus, ash, green passion fruit, and spearmint. The palate is almost full-bodied with lots of mineral tension. The lively acidity quickly takes over, followed by a long, bone-dry finish that goes on and on. Such a pure, unique and thought-provoking wine. Drink now or keep.
