It has a restrained ripeness and an alcohol content of 13.7%, from a cooler year in a warmer location. This is a classic Malbec, balanced and elegant, but also powerful, with fine tannins. About the wine:
A purple smell! Then blue. A wine that seems to turn slowly in the mouth, capturing light and shadow: Tyr purple, then indigo, lapis lazuli, ruby, garnet. A little balsamic, pomegranate molasses, allspice. A wine with an inner glow, permeating the slow, savory, spicy swirls of its inner structure, like candlelight on a highly polished antique mahogany table. Tannins reminiscent of the ancient curves of old vines, deeply grooved, powerfully still, yet flowing smoothly from deep earth to sky and back again. It goes from violet to blue to red; in the glass, on the palate: iridescent. 2023-2039

About the wine:
Intense nose of blackberries, black plums, stones, tar, tea leaves and licorice. Full-bodied, with firm, concentrated tannins. Compact and precise. Mineral but caressing finish. Give it time. Some viognier co-fermented with malbec. To be enjoyed after 2024.
