This Brouilly will charm you with its character: in this sulfite-free version, the expression of the terroir is more intense. The nose is fresh, fruity, and complex. On the palate, it is round, powerful, and incredibly rich. To fully enjoy this wine, serve it without decanting. A bottle of rare nobility with great aging potential that will surprise your friends. A true gem!

About the estate:
The son and grandson of winemakers, Franck Chavy settled in 1991 on a few hectares of Morgon. Through purchases and sharecropping arrangements, he has expanded his estate, which now covers 9.5 hectares, while establishing himself in the Guide, where he is considered a sure bet. This success is undoubtedly due in part to high-density planting (10,000 vines per hectare) and extended maceration.

An unadorned, unadulterated Brouilly, yet remarkably full-bodied (too much so for a Gamay?). It boasts firm, still-prominent tannins that, at least at this stage, mask the fruit somewhat. Plenty of body and depth on the palate, with a slight hint of gentian bitterness in the background. Spicy finish with a peppery note. It should mellow and gain roundness after a good year of aging. Price somewhat presumptuous in my opinion. Must be decanted before tasting, best paired with braised veal in a casserole with tender, deglazed carrots. Rating = 3.6.
