"The 2013 Juliénas (Château de la Bottière) comes from a 3.75-hectare plot. It has a more subtle nose than the Domaine des Mouilles cuvée, with earthy notes and hints of black berries, complemented by a salty flavor. The palate is medium-bodied with soft tannins, good volume, a fine structure and a blackcurrant finish. Drink now and until 2018." (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker)

About wine:
This seductive wine with its cherry color reveals a delicate nose of red fruits, violets, and sweet spices. The palate, in unison, charms with its fine, smooth tannins and its graceful, long finish. A harmonious and very elegant Juliénas.
About the estate:
Winegrowers in Juliénas since the early 17th century, the Perrachons purchased Ch. de la Bottière in 1877, followed by Dom. des Perelles in Romanèche-Thorins (windmill). When he took over in 1989, Laurent Perrachon acquired Domaine des Mouilles, then plots in Morgon, Fleurie, and Saint-Amour: a total of 31 hectares, with vines in six crus. With Maxime and Adrien, the new generation joined the estate in 2016.

Juliénas is colorful and explosive on the palate. It can be paired with many dishes, which is convenient for everyday use. Excellent value for money.

Certainly a good wine that needs to be kept in the cellar to be appreciated even more.
