“The 2013 Juliénas (Château de la Bottière) comes from a 3.75-hectare vineyard. It has a more subtle nose compared to the Domaine des Mouilles cuvée, with earthy notes and black berries, complemented by a hint of the sea. The palate is medium-bodied with soft tannins, good volume, and a refined structure leading to a blackcurrant finish. Drink now through 2018.” (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker)

About the wine:
This alluring wine, with its cherry-red hue, reveals a delicate bouquet of red berries, violets, and subtle spices. On the palate, it charms with its fine, smooth tannins and a graceful, lingering finish. A harmonious and very elegant Juliénas.
About the estate:
Winegrowers in Juliénas since the early 17th century, the Perrachons purchased Château de la Bottière in 1877, followed by Domaine des Perelles in Romanèche-Thorins (a windmill). Upon settling there in 1989, Laurent Perrachon acquired Domaine des Mouilles, followed by plots in Morgon, Fleurie, and Saint-Amour: a total of 31 hectares, with vineyards across six crus. With Maxime and Adrien, the new generation joined the estate in 2016.
