Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate (2020 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the estate:
Winegrowers in Juliénas since the early 17th century, the Perrachons purchased Ch. de la Bottière in 1877, followed by Dom. des Perelles in Romanèche-Thorins (windmill). When he took over in 1989, Laurent Perrachon acquired Domaine des Mouilles, then plots in Morgon, Fleurie, and Saint-Amour: a total of 31 hectares, with vines in six crus. With Maxime and Adrien, the new generation joined the estate in 2016.

Wine rating (2023 guide) 89/100 (2021 vintage)
Rated estate (2022 guide) Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Wine Enthusiast)
About wine:
Ripe and juicy, this wine is fresh and full of black fruit. The acidity and juicy fruitiness are balanced by a core of fine tannins that will allow the wine to age. Drink from 2024 onwards.
James Suckling
Wine rating (2023 guide) 90/100 (2021 vintage)
Rated estate (2020 guide) Recommended
About wine:
With its substantial structure and ripe black cherry fruit, this Morgon makes a bold statement. Some may find it too tannic for what they expect from a Beaujolais, but it simply needs a little more time in the bottle to integrate the tannins. Good length. Drink now, but preferably from 2024 onwards.
