"Winemaker of the Year in the 2023 Guide, Franck Chavy has earned another Favorite award Favorite the one he received for his Les Granites Roses 2020 cuvée. This time, it is the sulfite-free version of his Morgon that has been honored, made from approximately 70-year-old vines harvested from 1 hectare of granite soil. A complex, racy wine with aromas of kirsch, humus and floral notes. Its complexity and elegance are extended by a full, rich and dense palate, supported by a stimulating acidity that lengthens the finish and adds to its dynamism and balance. Unbeatable." Nose
Seductive in its complexity: fresh and rich with notes of stone fruits (vine peaches, cherries, etc.)
Mouth
Very structured and fruity, the refined tannins bring great roundness. As the wine opens up to oxygen, the palate becomes rounder and the aromatic palette evolves gently.

About wine:
Winemaker of the Year in the 2023 Guide, Franck Chavy has won another Favorite award Favorite the one he received for his Les Granites Roses 2020 cuvée. This time, it is the sulfite-free version of his Morgon that has been honored, made from vines around 70 years old grown on 1 hectare of granite soil. A complex, racy wine with aromas of kirsch, humus, and floral notes. Its complexity and elegance are extended by a full, rich, and dense palate, supported by a stimulating acidity that lengthens the finish and adds to its dynamism and balance. Unbeatable.
About the estate:
The son and grandson of winegrowers, Franck Chavy settled on a few hectares of Morgon in 1991. Through acquisitions and sharecropping, he expanded his estate, which now covers 9.5 hectares, while making his mark in the Guide, where he is a sure bet. This success is undoubtedly due in part to the high-density planting (10,000 vines/hectare) and long maceration periods.
