Domaine Anita - Moulin-à-Vent Reine de Nuit 2023
98/100
James Suckling
“How can one resist this truly extraordinary wine that redefines Beaujolais? (James Suckling)”
“How can one resist this truly extraordinary wine that redefines Beaujolais? Both intensely concentrated and incredibly elegant, it exudes an almost supernatural liveliness that propels it beyond the appellation’s conventions. Its delicate minerality adds an extra dimension of tension on the finish, making this wine dangerously captivating. Yes, there is a profusion of black fruit, but none of it is excessive.” (James Suckling 2025)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2023 guide) 2*Stars (A solid, recommendable vintage, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous one)
About the estate:
Originally from Bresse, Anita Khunel, after a brilliant career as a road cyclist (she competed in the World Championships in Slovenia in 1996!), decided to return to the family estate that same year. There, she learned the craft of viticulture and winemaking before establishing her own winery in 2015: Domaine Anita. Today, the estate encompasses six appellations: Moulin-à-Vent, Chénas, Morgon, Fleurie, Beaujolais, and Beaujolais-Villages. Known for her structured style, Anita Kuhnel achieves greater precision and balance with each passing year. 2017 is a great success. We’re not far from that third star!
