Castle of the Jacques
Château des Jacques has been part of the great Burgundy house Louis Jadot since 1996. The 35 hectares of Château des Jacques vineyards are located in the heart of Beaujolais, in the Moulin-à-Vent appellation. Five remarkable terroirs are part of this ensemble: Grand Clos de Rochegrès, Clos du Grand Carquelin, Clos de Champ de Cour, Clos de la Roche, and Clos des Thorins. All of Louis Jadot's expertise and high standards are put to work in the service of Beaujolais' most prestigious cru.

Since 2016, Cyril Chirouze has been in charge of winemaking. Respect for the vines, destemming of the Gamay grapes, long vatting and aging in new barrels are the château's basic principles. This beautiful interpretation of Gamay and this lovely definition of the terroirs do justice to the title we like to give to the Moulin-à-Vent appellation: "The King of Beaujolais Crus." The same passion and the same high standards of quality are applied to Château des Lumières, the true alter ego of Château des Jacques, in the Morgon appellation.
