"New: a casual wine with crisp fruit notes!"

Deep, rich color; smooth and easy to drink, with aromas of raspberries and coconut. This wine is a real treat when paired with some cold cuts, good bread, and friends. An attractive price for a wine that’s so easy to drink. Just the kind of “Glou Glou” we love!

Rated estate (2023 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the estate:

By 1290, the Fontenille estate in the Entre-deux-Mers region already had vineyards. Then attached to the Abbey of La Sauve-Majeure, this estate with its clay-siliceous terroir became independent in the 17th century. Since 1998, it has been managed by Stéphane Defraine, who oversees 56 hectares of vineyards—20 planted with white grapes and 36 with red—currently in the process of converting to organic farming.

Wine rated (2022 guide) 89/100 (2021 vintage)

About the wine:

Covering an area of 3 hectares, the vineyard has an average vine age of 21 years. The soil is sandy and loamy-gravelly. Fresh and fruity, the bouquet reveals chalky notes along with aromas of red berries, followed by hints of eucalyptus. Delicious and refreshing on the palate, the wine is juicy, lively, and mouth-watering. A crisp, inviting, and thirst-quenching Bordeaux! Now – 2028
