Château d'Yquem

Until 2004, Château d'Yquem was a family-owned estate, managed from 1967 onward by Alexandre Lur-Saluces, who helped establish it as the world’s most famous sweet wine, notably due to its exceptional quality and unfailing consistency over more than 100 years.

Château d'Yquem was the first Sauternes AOC to be promoted to Premier Grand Cru Supérieur in 1855. Today, Château d'Yquem belongs to the LVMH group and is managed by Pierre Lurton, who skillfully continues a tradition spanning more than two centuries.
