Château d'Yquem

Until 2004, Château d'Yquem was a family-owned estate, managed from 1967 onward by Alexandre Lur-Saluces, who helped make it the most famous sweet wine in the world, notably due to its exceptional quality and unfailing consistency over more than 100 years.

Château d'Yquem was the first Sauternes AOC to be classified as a Premier Grand Cru Supérieur in 1855. Today, Château d'Yquem belongs to the LVMH Group and is managed by Pierre Lurton, who skillfully carries on a tradition spanning more than two centuries.
