Château d'Yquem

Until 2004, Château d'Yquem was a family estate, run since 1967 by Alexandre Lur-Saluces, who has helped to make it the world's most famous sweet wine, not least for its exceptional qualities, which have been consistently outstanding for over 100 years.

Château d'Yquem was the first Sauternes AOC to be promoted to Premier Grand Cru Supérieur in 1855. Today, Château d'Yquem belongs to the LVMH group, and is managed by Pierre Lurton, who is continuing with talent an adventure that is more than two hundred years old.
