Huguenot Estate
Domaine Huguenot has been a family-owned winery passed down from father to son for 10 generations. Today, under the leadership of Philippe Huguenot, Domaine Huguenot spans 23 hectares in the Côte de Nuits region, covering the Marsannay, Fixin, and Gevrey-Chambertin appellations.

For over 20 years now, Domaine Huguenot has recognized the importance of adopting more environmentally friendly farming practices. As a result, work in the vineyards has evolved significantly over the years. To start with, no more pesticides or insecticides; instead, more plowing and interventions in the vineyards throughout the year. 2013 will be Domaine Huguenot’s first certified Organic vintage.

After meticulous work in the vineyards, the winemaking process at Domaine Huguenot proceeds gently. All harvested grapes are systematically sorted on a sorting table, and the grapes are handled by gravity to keep the berries intact. All wines are aged in barrels for 8 to 18 months, depending on the appellation. Long aging ensures purity, complexity, and precision in the fruit.
