Huguenot Estate
Domaine Huguenot has been a family-owned winery, passed down from father to son for 10 generations. Today, under the leadership of Philippe Huguenot, Domaine Huguenot spans 23 hectares in the Côte de Nuits, across the Marsannay, Fixin, and Gevrey-Chambertin appellations.

For more than 20 years now, Domaine Huguenot has recognized the importance of adopting more environmentally friendly farming practices. As a result, year after year, the work in the vineyards has evolved significantly. To start with, no more pesticides or insecticides; instead, more plowing and year-round vineyard maintenance. 2013 will be Domaine Huguenot’s first certified Organic vintage.

After meticulous work in the vineyards, the winemaking process at Domaine Huguenot proceeds gently. All harvested grapes are systematically sorted on a sorting table, and the grapes are handled using gravity to keep the berries intact. All wines are aged in barrels for 8 to 18 months, depending on the appellation. Extended aging ensures the purity, complexity, and precision of the fruit.
