"The Tête d'Or has a wonderfully fresh, lemony nose. It is a ripe, full-bodied Chablis with persistent, very precise flavors, enhanced by excellent bitter notes on the finish." About wine:

Produced from the estate's vineyards, the 2018 Chablis Tête d'Or offers notes of crisp golden orchard fruits, dried white flowers, peach, and light honey, followed by a medium-bodied to full-bodied palate that is satiny and straightforward, deeper and more concentrated than the usual bottling.

Wine rated (2021 guide) 93/100

Rated estate (2022 guide) 2 stars (These very large estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).

About wine:

The Tête d’Or has a wonderfully fresh, lemony nose. It is a ripe, full-bodied Chablis with persistent, very precise flavors, enhanced by excellent bitter notes on the finish.

About the estate:

This family estate, established in Chablis since 1815, changed hands in 2014, passing into the fold of the Faiveley house, which thus expanded its holdings, already rich with 20 hectares of the finest Chablis terroirs, with four grands crus: Les Clos, Les Preuses, Vaudésir, and Les Blanchots; four premiers crus: Montée de Tonnerre, Mont-de-Milieu, Fourchaume and Vaillons, as well as Chablis and Petits Chablis. Olivier Bailly was appointed manager in 2014 and quickly refined the management of the vineyards. Since 2016, the return to high quality has been evident, and this estate is now one of the most reliable in Chablis.

About wine:

A subtle hint of flint gives way to creamy, chalky lemon on the appetizing nose of this wine. The unexpected juiciness and ripeness of the hot summer fill the mouth. The round, full-bodied, chalky texture brings freshness. The finish offers more lovely chalky notes.
