Les Preuses is a rather feminine cuvée, opening with a flattering honeyed note that quickly gives way to green and mineral nuances. The highly diverse range of aromas is complex, with ripe fruit blending honeyed notes with toasty undertones, and lemon with vanilla. This wine is dense and slender, with an elegant and refined structure. Brilliant!

About the estate:

This family-owned estate, established in Chablis since 1815, changed hands in 2014, becoming part of the Faiveley estate. This expanded Faiveley’s portfolio—already comprising 20 hectares of Chablis’s finest terroirs—to include four grands crus: Les Clos, Les Preuses, Vaudésir, and Les Blanchots; four premiers crus: Montée de Tonnerre, Mont-de-Milieu, Fourchaume, and Vaillons, as well as Chablis and Petit Chablis. Olivier Bailly was appointed estate manager in 2014 and quickly refined the winemaking process. Starting in 2016, the return to top quality became evident, and this estate is now one of the most reliable in Chablis.
