“A Premier Cru with a more alluring bouquet than the Clos des Mouches Rouge, according to Jancis Robinson!”
"The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru has a nose with tertiary aromas, where red fruit blends with notes of gravel and undergrowth; it is quite open and less raw than its counterparts. It offers beautiful precision. The palate is medium-bodied, with supple and delicate tannins; it is beautifully balanced and has an elegant texture with a lovely mouthfeel. Serene and effortlessly smooth on the finish, this is a talented Chambolle that exceeds expectations. 2027–2042” (Vinous 2025)

Rated estate (2022 guide) 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often boasting fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)
About the estate:
The estate is now led by Frédéric Drouhin, supported by his sister Véronique for the wines and his brother Philippe in the vineyards. In July 2013, it opened a wine bar in the heart of Beaune. It has found its stride and has established itself as a sure bet. The estate draws on a biodynamic vineyard particularly well-stocked with great white wines, in the Côte-de-Beaune as well as in Chablis (wines sold under the Drouhin-Vaudon label), including the famous Clos des Mouches.

About the wine:
A wine with a more alluring bouquet than the Clos des Mouches Rouge. Lots of fruit, but also plenty of acidity, structure, and depth. Well done! 2026–2036

Wine rated (2023 guide) 93/100
About the wine:
Generous aromas of red berries, with notes of dark chocolate and pepper. A mature, well-structured wine for this appellation, though its moderately dry tannins are already well integrated. A long, elegant finish. Ready to drink now, but will reach its peak starting in 2024.
