Located in the southern part of the Côte de Beaune, the Chassagne-Montrachet appellation primarily produces white wines renowned for their exceptional aromatic expression and lingering finish. Notes of herbal tea, flowers, and spices on the nose lead to a full-bodied, mature palate, perfectly balanced by lovely freshness and acidity. An incredible harmony.

Rated estate (2021 guide) 2*Stars (A solid, recommendable vintage, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

Bertrand Bachelet, a young winemaker who has been in business since 2011, runs this 13-hectare estate stretching from Maranges to Pommard. Sustainable viticulture and the Cordon de Royat training system are standard practice here, as are the massal selections developed from the estate’s oldest vines. A range characterized by wines with ripe, intense fruit. The reds, which account for the vast majority of production, are vinified destemmed in concrete tanks and feature silky tannins, while the whites, without stirring, offer roundness and aromas of orchard fruits—juicy and honeyed.
