“This vintage from Jadot offers excellent aging potential and brilliantly combines power and finesse: absolutely sublime.”
“Jadot is one of 80 owners of tiny plots in this five-acre, walled vineyard. This wine is characterized as much by its rich, generous opulence as by its structure. An elegant bouquet blends with powerful black fruit and velvety tannins. The wine will develop slowly but surely, ready to drink starting in 2027.” (Wine Enthusiast 2019) • Delivery in a wooden case is available for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on country and selected shipping method)

Rated estate (2025 guide) 4*Stars (Producers of the very highest quality, the pride of French viticulture)
About the estate:
The Gagey family’s involvement with this true gem of Burgundy’s historical heritage began upon the death of Louis-Auguste Jadot. With no heir, the estate was entrusted in 1962 to André Gagey, who remained its manager until 1991, when he handed the reins to his son Pierre-Henry, who now oversees the 225 hectares of vineyards. Since 2011, winemaking has been overseen by Frédéric Barnier, who has seamlessly succeeded Jacques Lardière, further improving the consistency and uniformity of all vintages. The whites are pneumatically pressed and fermented directly in barrels, where they undergo aging on the lees with periodic stirring for 12 to 20 months. The red wines are vinified with the stems removed but without crushing, without cold pre-fermentation, and undergo a vatting period of 25 to 27 days before beginning their aging for 12 to 22 months in barrels, one-third of which are new.

Estate rated "Recommended" (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)
About the wine:
The 2016 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru (Domaine Louis Jadot) makes a strong first impression right out of the bottle and unfolds in the glass with a youthful, primary bouquet of ripe cherries, red berries, candied bark, and blackcurrant, subtly framed by beautifully integrated new oak. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, ample, and silky-smooth; its broad framework and impressively refined tannins are enveloped by a succulent, even tangy core of vibrant fruit, culminating in a long, well-defined finish. Although the structure is refined enough that drinking a glass now would not be an unpleasant experience, a decade of patience is recommended.

Rated estate (2022 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About the wine:
A subtly oaky yet elegant nose gives way to fruit of great purity. Following a very delicate attack, the earthy power of the terroir reasserts itself in a clean, salty finish that is by no means austere. It has infinite aging potential.
About the estate:
This prestigious wine merchant is run with great efficiency by Pierre-Henry Gagey, who is deeply involved in Burgundy. The company boasts an exceptionally extensive range and a superb collection of terroirs, encompassing the major Burgundian appellations. Frédéric Barnier, who has been in charge of winemaking since 2012, is gradually making his mark by refining the wines. Consistency is one of this house’s strengths. While the whites display beautiful balance, the reds are austere and severe, with oak notes that dominate the fruit and even hints of acetate that, this year, make it difficult to assess certain vintages. Let’s hope this is temporary, as the company’s reputation is at stake.

About the wine:
Barrel sample. Light cherry red. Fresh notes of peppery raspberry. Very smooth, round, and soft texture. More approachable than the Corton-Pougets, though with slightly less concentration on the mid-palate.
