Joseph Drouhin - Corton Grand Cru 2020
94/100
Wine Spectator
"A wonderful accompaniment to a delicious capon!"
This Corton has aromas of candied fruit on the nose, evolving towards musky and spicy nuances with age. When young, it is fairly full-bodied on the palate, without harshness. The aromas linger very long, recalling the candied fruit of the initial nose.

Rated estate (2022 guide) 2 stars (These very large estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the estate:
This house is now run by Frédéric Drouhin, assisted by his sister Véronique for the wines and his brother Philippe for the vines. In July 2013, it opened a wine bar in the heart of Beaune. It has found its stride and is establishing itself as a sure bet. The house relies on a biodynamic vineyard that is particularly well endowed with great whites, in Côte-de-Beaune but also in Chablis (wines sold under the Drouhin-Vaudon label), including the famous Clos des Mouches.
