"Pleasant intensity"

Clothed in a ruby-red satin hue, this cuvée will enchant you with its captivating notes of blackberry, violet, and rose. On the palate, a hint of pepper adds a touch of spice, bringing structure, intensity, and balance. Enjoy it young or let it age.

Rated estate (2021 guide): 2*Stars (A solid, recommendable production, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

Bertrand Bachelet, a young winemaker who has been in business since 2011, heads this 13-hectare estate stretching from Maranges to Pommard. Sustainable viticulture and the Cordon de Royat training system are standard practice here, as are the massal selections developed from the estate’s oldest vines. The range is characterized by wines with ripe, intense fruit. The reds, which account for the vast majority of production, are vinified with the stems removed in concrete tanks and feature silky tannins, while the whites, made without stirring, offer roundness and juicy, honeyed aromas of orchard fruits.
